Patrick,

Like you the things that make life complete. Family, with the kids out of the house and making their way successfully. A job, with the added plus of it being a job that is interesting and makes a difference in others lives. Good, rational simpatico neighbors and a great bunch of people to ride with and that last is a joy that pays off for a whole week after a ride.

And yes, the anticipation of a new president, but more so the comfort of seeing a scholar be elected. I am looking forward to the return to an evidence based world view as central to our decision making process.

I'll lift a glass of something alcoholic in your direction today to salute the practical results of the Bill of Rights.

Patrick
Up in Palin country mtn bikers pretty much wear a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with slugs. It is something to do with Bears. I might still have a picture this.

I also have a female friend in Vegas who doesnot go out on her bike without a small handgun! this is not a bad idea in the Vegas area.

Patrick,

Fergit the webs***, send some o' them 60+ degree days out east, wouldja? We're freezing out here in Allentown and the only thing I can chalk it up to is the fact that the hot air disappeared from eastern Pennsy sometime late in the day on 11/4. Coincidence? I think not. Himself and McShame spent so much time here we were getting ready to bill them with the local earned income tax. Now all we get is the cold shoulder. Literally. The ski bums are loving it, but the last time my bike tires saw tar, gas prices were still in the stratosphere.

Not as terrified as your mama when she missed that period, ONeill. Ho, ho. You're a few Father's Days off the back, too, biotch. I need me some new runnin' shoes.

I saw him out on the vespa. Deer in headlights look. I was scared for him he looked so terified. Almost as terrified as on a descent down the pass

I've thought for a long time the NRA and cycling folks should join forces. Both are minorities of the population who are constantly being harassed by others with a profound lack of appreciation for our situations.

Cyclists, often perceived as less than properly manly in their lycra, would definitely get more respect with a newfound association with lethal firepower, and the gun folks could learn to practice their biathlon skills year round while riding mountain bikes. Or for that matter, he-he... while riding road bikes.
