Just finished munching on portobello spinach quesadillas with red pepper chipotle creme , a fresh batch of salsa, and guac, and currentky sipping a Bristol Beehive, whilst watching our 21 mo old experiment with jalapeños.
All this just makes me ever more glad we're here in Sicily where organized crime is about the only thing in the news. So far we've had no contact with any criminals, organized or not. Tomorrow we fly off to Milan, then on to Brussels on Saturday morning. From there we'll jump into a rental car and blast off to the Ronde museum on our way to a hotel in Kortrijk, where I think Greg LeMond lived for awhile. The Hotel Kennedy there is supposed to be THE HQ for a few of the pro teams during the cobbled classics weeks. Sunday morning it's off to the Arenberg forest to await the thundering herd of pros. We'll try to skip ahead and see 'em again at the Carrefour as well. Photos and descriptions should be on the CycleItalia blog next week. Tom Boonen vs Pippo Pozzato and the rest should be an epic day, but for us just being there will be epic! This will be the third of the five monuments for us. Oh, and happy vernal equinox to everyone, though it seems the big celebration with the eggs, etc. is a bit late this year?

Opus ... glad to hear you and the cats dodged that windy bullet. I covered the aftermath of a tornado here in Bibleburg back in 1979, and it was pretty friggin' amazing. I've seen a few since, from a safe distance, happily.

Disasters in Bibleburg tend to be of the manmade variety: "NO TAXES! You want potholes patched, patch 'em yourselves, you lousy socialists!"
